estamos en colombia

overlooking the walled city of Cartagena from the huge fort below

another fort guarding the harbor. lots of pirates to defend this incredible country from

views inside the citys walls

i think were getting a little tired of paradises. Were just finding too many of them. playa blanca a boat ride away from cartagena. you could lay in your hammock all day long and have all your needs taken care of...fresh caught shrimp, oysters, massages, coco locos (rum poured in a fresh macheted coconut)... everything a body needs

coco locos in paradise

calisto the coconut king... had to bribe a security guard with a fresh cut coco so he would let us steal some cocos from a farm!

some colombian school girls for those aussies

Some sort of colombian modern art... yup, youre seeing it correctly

the beginning of a six day hike deep onto the colombian jungle. Hello guys with big guns.. were going to just sneek on by and hike up to a lost city that the spanish never found thats over a thousand years old and stop at a coke factory, drink coca tea, and swim in the rivers... don´t mind our mules they carry coffee, food and a shopping bag of herb thats included in the tour... only in colombia

nice little swimming hole along the way

the ruins and the 1177 stairs leading up to them. the lost city... cuidad perdida, sits on a steep ridge with a 360 degree view including a waterfall, trees with birds chirping, mountains and long valleys filled with guerrillas and cocaine... the kinds with big guns. thought we´d tell those worrisome moms after the fact

a little pinapple

the local indigenous tribe with a coca plant in the foreground. It takes 1000 kilos of dried leaves to make one kilo of coke... good thing for the frat boys.. the whole jungle is chalk full of them

that little brown spot is a soccer field in the middle of the jungle on a ridge

markus posed for an after hike GB spons

coastal paradise number two in two weeks in colombia. thats not a bad average

fuck off pirates

Simply amazing fellas. It reminds me of study abroad, with no classes and more firearms. I'm no expert, but unless you were referring to the soft drink, coke factories are illegal. Don't get into too much trouble. Oh, and corporate america told me to tell you that they don't need you for at least another year. Great news, see you in 2008!
