hemisphere hopping

carnaval in barranquilla colombia... a view from our tree which we climbed for the parade... a girl threw us beers and caught our empties so we didnt have to move other then the occasional dismount for public urination. they had bathrooms that were three plywood walls and a bucket or straw floor that you just peed on... pee was flowing out of a few of them! below a carnaval jam sesh

view from the big rock... roca grande. just a big friggin rock in the middle of a beautiful lake region. the stairs were cement and being repaired as we went up. they look real safe and are really new. colombian engineers sniff gluejam session on the top of the rock where we blasted our music on the restaurants stereo... fantastic.
ever seen a statue of a really old man with a cane? arent too many out there... reason enough for dancing i reckon
views of a colombian beauty and a little angel with some nice new colombian jewelry
my beloved herb lady... she had every herb that exists... she kept jamming herbs in my face and waiting till i recognized the smell.

southern hemisphere! van fleet defends the north and kingman the south... the crazy english man with a hand in both pies
was a display at the equator with toilets spinning both ways and the one in the middle going straight down... craziness. you weigh about 2 pounds less on the equador and its really hard to balance with your eyes closed... and you can see the southern cross and the big dipper at once.

an authentic blowgun of the local equadorian indians that shoots little kebob skewers into the unsuspecting cacti. thats a good word... cacti... skewer is a really good one too.. skewer
